Pulse is an interdisciplinary project with contemporary languages that explores and reflects on the possible relations between different manifestations of sound, plastic, visual and scenic art and their convergence on the creation of new knowledge in the creation and artistic practice. It involves five composers, several video artists, programmers, animators, illustrators, choreographers, photographers, dancers and performers.
The pulse is a concept that runs through the different disciplines involved in the work. It is designed in four segments or different parts that are joint by a few intermezzos that create a complete work. The segments are: pulse of the machines, the human pulse, pulse of the Earth and pulse of the universe. Each segment is created by a composer who, with the help of a video artist conceives the visual part. The intermezzos are in charge of a composer who unites the different segments.
Pulse was born as an initiative of the MUSUX group, initially for the Planetarium of Medellín Jesus Emilio Ramirez Gonzalez, however, this proposal seeks to be presented in other planetariums or dome type scenarios and also to have the possibility of modifying the show for conventional scenarios.
